DisProt_get_entry (Type: DisProtTool)#
Get detailed disorder region annotations for a protein from DisProt. Accepts either a DisProt ID …
DisProt_get_entry tool specification
Tool Information:
Name:
DisProt_get_entryType:
DisProtToolDescription: Get detailed disorder region annotations for a protein from DisProt. Accepts either a DisProt ID or UniProt accession. Regions use explicit offset/limit pagination; response metadata reports the exact returned and total region counts, whether more regions exist, and the next offset. Every region retains all returned cross-references.
Parameters:
accession(string) (required) DisProt ID (e.g., ‘DP00086’) or UniProt accession (e.g., ‘P04637’). Both formats accepted.region_offset(integer) (optional) Zero-based offset within the entry’s disorder regions. Default: 0.region_limit(integer) (optional) Maximum disorder regions returned per call. Default: 30. Use metadata.next_region_offset to continue.
Example Usage:
query = {
"name": "DisProt_get_entry",
"arguments": {
"accession": "example_value"
}
}
result = tu.run(query)
DisProt_search (Type: DisProtTool)#
Search DisProt for intrinsically disordered proteins by gene name, protein-name fragment, organis…
DisProt_search tool specification
Tool Information:
Name:
DisProt_searchType:
DisProtToolDescription: Search DisProt for intrinsically disordered proteins by gene name, protein-name fragment, organism, DisProt ID or UniProt accession (case-insensitive substring match on gene, then protein name; organism is tried only when neither matches). Free-text keywords such as ‘phase separation’ are not supported by DisProt and return no hits. DisProt is a manually curated database providing experimentally validated disorder annotations with evidence codes and literature references. Returns DisProt ID, UniProt accession, protein name, organism, disorder content fraction, and number of annotated regions. Useful for finding disordered proteins in a specific pathway or organism. Example: searching ‘TP53’ returns DP00086 (p53, 37.7% disorder, 63 regions); searching ‘amyloid’ returns proteins with ‘amyloid’ in their name (e.g. amyloid-beta precursor protein, serum amyloid A). Results are paginated: metadata reports total_matches_by_filter, has_more and next_page (pass it as page); with more than one filter queried, total_results is an upper bound (total_results_is_exact false).
Parameters:
query(string) (required) Gene name (e.g., ‘TP53’), protein-name fragment (e.g., ‘kinase’, ‘amyloid’), organism (e.g., ‘Saccharomyces’), DisProt ID (e.g., ‘DP00086’) or UniProt accession (e.g., ‘P04637’). Not a free-text keyword search.page_size(integer) (optional) Number of results per page (default 10, ToolUniverse safety maximum 500). The DisProt API documents page_size without an upstream maximum.page(integer) (optional) Zero-based result page. Use metadata.next_page to continue. Default: 0.
Example Usage:
query = {
"name": "DisProt_search",
"arguments": {
"query": "example_value"
}
}
result = tu.run(query)
