DBpedia_SPARQL_query tool specification

Tool Information:

  • Name: DBpedia_SPARQL_query

  • Type: DBpediaSPARQLTool

  • Description: Execute SELECT or ASK queries against the public DBpedia SPARQL endpoint. SELECT results are recoverably paginated with a one-extra-row probe: continue with next_offset while has_more is true. Explicit max_results/offset override terminal LIMIT/OFFSET clauses, while an omitted max_results uses the query LIMIT or defaults to 100. Both normalized values and original binding metadata (URI/literal type, datatype, language) are returned. ASK returns its boolean rather than a misleading empty list. CONSTRUCT and DESCRIBE are explicitly unsupported.

Parameters:

  • sparql (string) (required) SPARQL query string to execute against DBpedia. Use SPARQL syntax to query entities, relationships, and properties. DBpedia uses different property names than Wikidata (e.g., dbo:abstract, dbo:birthDate, rdfs:label).

  • max_results (integer) (optional) Optional SELECT page size override (1-1000). If omitted, use the terminal query LIMIT or default to 100.

  • offset (integer) (optional) Optional zero-based SELECT result offset. Continue with data.next_offset while data.has_more is true.

Example Usage:

query = {
    "name": "DBpedia_SPARQL_query",
    "arguments": {
        "sparql": "example_value"
    }
}
result = tu.run(query)
