Returns comprehensive information including repository name, URL, description, subjects, keywords, content types, data access conditions, data licenses, hosting institutions, and countries. Use this after re3data_search_repositories to get full details about a repository of interest, or when you already have a re3data ID (format: r3d100XXXXXX). Essential for evaluating whether a repository is suitable for data deposit or data discovery.
Parameters:
repository_id(string) (required) re3data repository identifier (e.g., ‘r3d100011969’, ‘r3d100000001’). Find IDs using re3data_search_repositories.

Search by keyword to find repositories that host datasets for a specific research topic, data type, or discipline. Returns repository names, IDs, and DOIs. Use re3data_get_repository with the returned ID for detailed metadata including subjects, access conditions, content types, and institutional affiliations. Useful for finding where to deposit research data, discovering domain-specific data repositories, or identifying repositories hosting longitudinal, clinical, or cohort study data.
Parameters:
query(string) (required) Search keyword(s) to find repositories (e.g., ‘nutrition longitudinal’, ‘genomics’, ‘climate data’, ‘medical imaging’). Searches across repository names, descriptions, subjects, and keywords.subjects([‘string’, ‘null’]) (optional) Optional subject filter to narrow results (e.g., ‘medicine’, ‘biology’, ‘chemistry’, ‘social sciences’). Applied as client-side filter on repository names.countries([‘string’, ‘null’]) (optional) Optional country filter using ISO 3166 country code (e.g., ‘USA’, ‘GBR’, ‘DEU’). Note: requires fetching detail for each result so use sparingly.
